Hello. This is a slowly-evolving personal website. Back in 1996 I thought people might happen upon my website and find it of interest and want to learn more about me. These days I know that isn't true, even if it was back then. Which it probably wasn't.
Hitop
I have written some documentation for Hitop about the database functions and a mini FAQ covering useful things.
You can find it here.
Alternatively you can wake up to the fact that Hitop is completely dead and start using PHP or, even better, Template Toolkit and Perl. You may even find Pylons and Python a good choice.

While sitting on #kosovo on IRCNet during the Kosovo conflict in 1999 there were a load of people arguing about the situation when someone called Leiden turned up. You can read what happened to the discussion right here. I think you'll agree it was both strange and disturbing, and yet towards the end very very amusing. I'll never know if this person was serious.
This is also very rude.

Why is this web page fixed-width?
For readability purposes. It is nicer to see lines that have a width constriction. I can point you to this page for more.
